5 StarsPerfect vacation home in the heart of Park City! (February 2018)

Home was just as described. It was perfect for our group of 3 families. There is 1 master suite on the main floor, 2 bunk rooms on the next level down, and another master suite on the 3rd level down. Parents got their own rooms and the kids slept in one of the bunk rooms. The home had everything we needed, wifi, pool table and hot tub. We did a fair amount of cooking and the home had everything we needed including oils and spices which these days, most rentals don’t have. Home is within walking distance to Main St, Park City Mountain and local bus stops. Our group of 5-7 year olds were able to walk to both Main Street and Park City Mountain. Brian was extremely responsive throughout the booking process and even during our stay at the home, giving us storm updates/warnings. I can’t wait to reserve this home for our next trip to Park City and highly recommend it to others!

5 StarsThe owners were extremely attentive to all our needs and requests (January 2017)

This is a luxurious family home, well appointed and equipped with high quality crockery and glassware- the best we have experienced in a rental property in Park City. We will definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

5 StarsWonderful Winter Vacation (January 2017)

We had 9 family members come together in Park City for Christmas week. The accommodations were wonderful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners took our needs seriously and did everything they could to help us with whatever we needed. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

5 StarsWonderful Park City home! Memorable trip! (December 2016)

We stayed at Karen and Brian’s home Christmas week and had an amazing time! The house was exactly as shown in pictures and very functional for our three-generational group (grandparents, parents, kids). The two master bedrooms and two living areas gave us all the privacy and hang-out space that we needed. This home is located in between the base of Park City Mountain and old town Park City so it was very convenient for skiers and non-skiers to walk to where they needed to go! The house was clean and included many amenities that we used during the trip (fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, fireplace). Brian was always very courteous and responsive with any questions we had before or during our stay.

A few notes from our trip:

  1. We didn’t rent a car, you don’t need one in Park City. The bus is an easy walk away and Uber/Lyft are always readily available.
  2. We did Escape Room Park City which was very fun and a nice night out with the family.
  3. We loved the Bridge Cafe and Grill right by Town Lift. Food was very good and extremely reasonably priced compared to others in the area. (seating by the door can get cold)
  4. We rented skis from White Dog Ski Rentals – a little off the beaten path but very reasonable rates. We arranged for them to pick up our skis at Canyons at the end of the day so it saved us a trip.
  5. We used Peak Transportation (as recommended by a previous guest of this house) and found them very reliable and knowledgeable of the area.
  6. If you’re visiting Park City during peak times, we’d recommend making dinner reservations in advance.

We’d definitely recommend this home and hope to visit again!

5 StarsGreat location, plenty of space and excellent service from the owners (December 2016)

This home is an excellent place to stay in the Old Town area of Park City. We had two families with college age kids and the location was perfect to access the ski lifts and downtown without a car. The home had plenty of space for both of our families and the sleeping areas are separated so the adults and college age kids could wake up (or go to bed) at different times and not wake up others. And the owners were outstanding at providing pre-trip advice and attending to any details while we enjoyed staying in their home. They helped make our trip hassle free.

5 StarsAbsolutely perfect! (March 2016)

Thank you Karen and Brian! Your home was absolutely perfect for our group. We are two families (1 New York family and 1 California family) that met up for a one week stay at your place in Park City. The two master suites along with the other two bedrooms provided plenty of space and privacy for everyone in our group. The game room on the lowest level was a big hit with the kids which allowed for plenty of time for the adults to relax in the upper level living area. The home was immaculate accompanied by every needed amenity. Access to and from “Town Lift” was very convenient for the entire group. A key feature for our group when selecting a home was that the home have access to and from the mountain via the two legs that God gave each of us! This home provided this access via a 7-10 minute walk. We also took a day trip out to Snowbird that was less than an hours drive from this home. This home also provided access to the shops and restaurants within walking distance (approx 10 minutes). We will 100% stay at this home again next season!

5 StarsTerrific property. Centrally located. Owners who know how to provide a welcoming experience. (March 2016)

Vacationed here early March 2016; 7 guys, 3 father/son combinations and one other. Property is a large duplex, conveniently located on Empire Ave. about equidistant from the Town Lift/High West Distillery and Park City Base Lodge. I would estimate a 350-400 yard walk to either. Empire Ave. is on a hill, so certainly easier walk down than up. The uphill gets your heart pumping a bit, but not a big deal and one building lot away is the 10th Street staircase to Park Ave. and a transit stop. Convenient.

The home is as advertised and the pictures are accurate. Clean, comfortable, well appointed. Karen & Brian were communicative in all phases of the rental process and stay. In fact, we got to meet Karen briefly when we arrived. Charming. Comfortable beds, with modern finishings. Plentiful and luxurious towels. Plenty of hot water for the 3 showers. Upstairs master shower is huge. Modern TV’s throughout. Strong WIFI. Small pool table on lowest floor with adjacent small bar/kitchen. Private deck and hot tub off of that level. Hot tub up to date; realistically fits 3; 4 doable, but is tight. Main living/gathering space fit the 7 of us fine, with two of us either standing at kitchen counter or sitting at dining table. Comfortable chairs/couch. You can see the large TV from anywhere in the room. But, what we were most appreciative of was the well equipped and modern kitchen. (Two of us make a living as chefs – one an owner of a restaurant and the other his son who cooks at a high end restaurant in CT. So when we say it was well equipped, it was well equipped.) All matching plates/cups from Crate and Barrel. Terrific pots, pans, utensils, bowls, towels, sponges. coffee maker, microwave, blender and toaster. Plenty of dishes, glasses, etc. Of special note…the chefs wanted me to write this…were the good quality wine glasses. Honestly, there wasn’t one thing we needed that wasn’t there.

Anyone who rents vacation homes knows the nuisance and cost of not having enough of the basic provisions when you arrive – salt, pepper, cooking oil, olive oil, syrup, spices, paper goods, toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo. You often have to buy them, then leave behind or throw away 3/4 of it when you depart. Not a problem here. The basics and more are fully in stock. So, so convenient and welcoming. Finally, Karen and Brian had a gift basket delivered with sweets and treats. Nice touch and thoughtful. If you’re looking for a turnkey stay in PC, look hard at their home.

5 StarsPerfection! (February 2016)

We could not have been happier staying in this house during our week-long skiing vacation! The house is the perfect set-up for two families, with two master-bedroom suites, and two bedrooms that easily accommodated our five teenage children. The description on VRBO is 100% accurate, and the detail provided by the owners is beyond any other house we came across in our search for a rental property. The website Brian has created (which is linked from the VRBO page) is a dream, containing additional pictures, a great video, and helpful recommendations and links to things like ski lift tickets and restaurants. The 9-page booklet Brian sends you two weeks before your arrival is superb, and describes everything you need to know about the house and how things work (i.e., TV, printer, hot tub, etc.). The kids absolutely loved having their own space in the game room, with a pool table, huge television, and kitchen area for snacks. The hot-tub was a great perk, too! The house is clean and well-maintained, and best of all, the owner, Brian, is amazingly responsive to questions, usually getting back to us within minutes. He even notified us of an impending snowstorm. The sheets and towels are super soft and startling white, with plenty of extras in the laundry room, which is another wonderful perk to have with nine humans in the house. We found walking to the town lift to be fairly easy (even in ski boots), and coming home through the residential trail from Park City Mountain a breeze. Skiing the Canyons (via a gondola that takes you there from PCM) and Snowbird (45-minutes away) was particularly memorable, and getting to Deer Valley (and home again) could not have been easier – a straight shot down the stairs on 10th and then a free shuttle bus right to the base. Restaurants in Park City did not disappoint and most are easy to walk to. We are definitely spoiled foodies, and we particularly loved The Silver Star CafĂ©, Chimayo, and Prime, in that order. Take-out from Shabu was excellent as well. Make reservations early!! We would highly recommend the following vendors, especially if you do not have a rental car: Grocery Girls delivery service, White Dog Ski Rental and Delivery (very responsive and less expensive than the other ski delivery services), the Karaoke Cab – a great way to get around town while belting out your favorite tunes, and Peak Transportation to and from the airport. All in all, the perfect house for a large group!
